PURCHASE ORDERS - REQUIRED INFORMATION

PRODUCTION TIME

Product availability changes daily. Confirm that the quantity you need is available prior to placing an order. All production time quoted begins upon our receipt of your proof approval and approval of credit. Orders received after 10:30am EST will be considered as received the next business day.

• Cover Imprints and Promo-Pages: allow up to 15
  business days from proof approval.
• Blank Books ship within 3-5 days, unless specified for
  Rush Shipping. (no Blank Book orders to Canada)
• Custom Book Jackets & Covers: Allow up to 15 business days from approval of proof.

QUANTITY MINIMUMS

• Customized Book orders must meet stated minimums.
• Blank Books are typically available at 50% of the minimums
  stated; confirm the minimum before ordering.

SET-UP CHARGES

• Standard Set-Up: $40 (v) all orders
• Re-Order Set-Up: $35 (v)
• PMS Color Matching: $40 (v) per color
  (color matching is not guaranteed)
• Rush Order Charge: $75 (v)
• Graphic Design Fee: $50/hour (up to 3 proofs/changes
  are provided at no charge)

CUSTOMIZATION

Cover Imprint: method is 1-color pad printing with ink on a book’s
front cover or book jacket, as noted.

• Based upon the book’s design and your artwork, our Art Department
  will use its discretion to size and place your logo for optimal
  appearance and imprint quality.
• Standard Imprint Colors: BLACK, WHITE, BLUE, RED,
  GREEN, YELLOW, GOLD, SILVER
• White imprint over a dark color is not recommended. Avoid art with
  large solid areas and reversed type. No halftones or screens.
• Very small details (i.e. registered trademarks, etc) are not
  guaranteed to be legible.

Promo-Page Insert (Tip-In): a custom page adhered (glued-in) to a book’s 1st or 2nd page, depending on the binding of the book selected.

• Pages are printed on a high quality, full-color process (CMYK) laser printer.
• Avoid heavy ink saturation and dark background colors.

Custom Book Jacket / Cover: Inquire for details and pricing

• Artwork areas include the front cover, back cover, spine and
  jacket flaps. Inquire for dimensions.

Combined Customization Discount: deduct 50% off of the Imprint cost for books that are being customized with BOTH Imprint and Promo-Page. 

All set up fees apply.

ARTWORK

• See individual book specs for maximum Cover Imprint area.
• When e-mailing artwork, include your PO Number and
  Company Name in your subject line
• Preferred art format is MAC, Adobe Illustrator,
  Vector EPS, 300 dpi resolution
• Provide fonts or create text to outlines. Include crop marks
  and .25” bleed on Promo-Page artwork.

SHIPPING – Please provide a Contact Name and E-mail Address
for order tracking information.

• Customized Books are shipped FOB: Delray Beach, Florida 33445,
  unless otherwise specified. 
• Customized Books can be shipped on 3rd party freight accounts.
• Blank Books ship directly from various publisher warehouses.  
  Please inquire for FOB location.
• Blank Book freight costs will be added to your invoice.  We
  cannot bill 3rd party accounts for Blank Book orders.
• Blank Book orders are not available for shipment to Canada.
  All book orders to Canada must be customized.

RUSH ORDERS – Rush service is available based on product
availability and production schedule.

• Orders requiring faster than normal production time will
  incur a Rush Charge of $75 (v).
• Rush Orders may require expedited freight service.
• Orders shipping outside of the continental United States
  are not available for Rush Service.

RETURNS – All sales (customized books, blank books, sample books)
are NON-RETURNABLE.

TRADEMARKS / LICENSES - All logos and artwork represented in this catalog are for illustrative purposes only and are available only to the registered license holder.

EMAIL POLICY - We do not send out any unsolicited emails at The Book Company, nor do we condone SPAM or unsolicited emails.

All prices, specifications and terms of sale are subject to change without prior notice.  Book cover art may change without notice.  All orders are subject to approval of The Book Company and are not binding until accepted.  We reserve the right to refuse any order at any time.

The Book Company shall not be liable for freight carrier delays/damage or the inability to ship any order due to product shortages.
